Jacob (The Nightwalkers, Book 1) By Jacquelyn Frank

Jacob has spent seven hundred years policing demons that have given in to moon madness and endanger humans. He doesn't have time for anything out side his duty; so when Isabella his destined mate literally drops into his arms his life begins a radical change. Isabella, who is by heart a gentle library, is forced to save Jacobs life by killing a corrupted demon, an act by itself that has never been possible for a human. Knowing that Jacob has to solve the mystery of how she managed such a feet, Jacob knocks Isabella out and carries her home. Once there the temptation to mate with her attracts the attention and intervention of Elijah and then Noah. In the hopes of sorting things out Noah allows Isabella access to the great vault housing all of Demon history. There she discovers that the Demon moon madness is caused by the lack of Druid mates balancing out the demon powers. After unearthing a foretelling about her mating with Jacob, Isabella life truly changes. As she becomes more ingrained with her new Demon friends, her new arising abilities begin causing trouble.

Overall this is one of my favorite books, and as such I am happy to give it a must read rating! If you have never read any of Jacquelyn Frank earlier books in this series, I suggest going back. The characters are well developed, as is the Nightwalker world she created.

I give it:
