The Accidental Vampire by Lynsay Sands

This week I seem to be into vampires. This being said I decided to re-read one of my favorite books. Lynsay Sands has a great series were vampires are the creation of nano technologies by an accent society. The people infected do need blood to live, but only to 'feed' the little nano bugs! The bugs in return repair all damage done to the body therefore causing individuals to have extremely long life spans were you never age. You can still be killed if an injury is so sever that the nano's can repair it or the host runs out of blood. This book in particular is about what happens when someone is accidently infected and doesn’t understand what has happened to them. Our main character is Elvie Black, whose real name is Ellen Stone is forced to live a life style emanating ‘Dracula’ by a community that has banded together to help her. She had been infected by the nano’s during a trip to Mexico with her best friend. Elvie hates here new life style and would rather live quality. The thing that makes this book for me is the fact she has no idea what she can do and is living by all of the stereo types. It isn’t until the town sheriff and Elvie best friend put in adds to bring a group of vampires to town for Elvie that she begins to learn how to live with her little bugs. Romantic undertones are stuck when Victor Argeneau and his fellow vampires arrive during a “birthday bite” party hosted by Elvie in here downtown Mexican restaurant. Victor is a true ancient and is there to investigate wither Elvie has violated the sacred laws of the council that governs the dissidents of Atlantis. Victor decides to educate Elvie while trying to decide how to save her life from a vampire hunter. The town’s ever ending support of Elvie is also a shock to Victor. In the end it all works out for Elvie. This book is great read because of the simplicity of the plot. I can honestly that every time I read the book I am not prepared for the ending. This is one of my must read books for any paranormal romance fans.
