This is an interesting paranormal romance. It’s about Kara MacAllister rather rough and tumble awakening of her powers as a radiant. She’s brought into the fold of tight nit testosterone pumped group of men called the feral warriors in order to pass on the energy they need to continue to shift into animal forms. Kara is brought into the fold by their chief named Lyon, and yes he transforms into a lion. He’s extremely protective and sexually attracted towards Kara, even when he believes she intended for one of his subordinates. Apparently a radiant only comes into power when she’s is sexually mated in a very primitive ceremony. With all great battles of good and evil there needs to be a deep betrayal causing a climax in the action. And yes I mean that literally. The stories ok… A little graphic in the sex and action-violence scenes but overall the book is an interesting read. But not one I plan to keep in my collection.
