Minx By Julia Quinn

This is an older book. But one of my favorites. According to the copy right it was originally published in 1996 by Avon Books. It’s the story of a lost tom boy named Henrietta Barrett, better known as Henry. She’s been the estate manager of a Regency manor in the middle of Cornwall. Life for her is presently structured just the way she wants it, until her guardian’s death leaves his eighth removed cousins , Mr. William Dunford inherits the Barony, the estate, and Henry. Dunford, as he likes to be called is at first resistant to Henry and her tricks to drive him back to London. After a little mud tossing in a pig-pin, Dunford manages to het to the bottom of why Henry was reacting like a spoiled brat pulling pranks. After releasing he is attracted to Henry he takes her to London to have a bit of a season and find love. But like all romances his jealousy starts to cause Henry to become hurt, which leads them to finally have to confront their feelings. From there the author throws in a few more twist and turns as the couple finder there way to true love and happiness. I would recommend that any die hard regency romance fan give this book a try.
